Is the student pricing available on every VACAYA trip?
As a general standard, student pricing is only available on our large-ship VACAYA Bliss programs. However, we may occasionally offer student promotions on other vacations.
What room categories are eligible?
The goal of the program is to make the trip affordable for students so we encourage you to book a reasonably priced category including interior, ocean view, and some balcony categories. Discount is not available on higher level balcony staterooms or suites.
Am I eligible?
If you’re a student currently enrolled at a US Title IV accredited college or university, and 21 or older, then yes.
How do you know I’m a student?
We keep it simple:
- Snap a photo of the front and back of your current student ID.
- Email your full legal name, date of birth, telephone number, the name of the cruise you’d like to join, and the photo of your ID to students@myvacaya.com.
- Once received, VACAYA’s Vacation Planners will give your school a call to verify your current enrollment.
What is the student pricing?
Each verified student in your room will receive a $200 discount on the selected category. So find a student friend to join you, double your savings, and let the games begin!
What if my travel companion isn’t a student? Do they get the student pricing, too?
No. They’d pay the standard price for their half of the room.
What if I’m traveling alone?
All shipboard rooms are based on double occupancy, so if you wanted a stateroom all to yourself, you’d pay for the entire room. OR… you can join our Solo Traveler’s program, STEP, and share a cabin with someone VACAYA assigns to join you.
How do I receive the student pricing?
Once we confirm your eligibility, we’ll email you to let you know you’re good to go and we’ll set up a time/date to complete your booking with one of our Vacation Planners!
Can I make a Student Pricing reservation through a travel agent?
The VACAYA student pricing is available for direct-booked guests only. Although Travel Agents may request student pricing for one of their clients, these bookings are non-commissionable.
- You must be an eligible student at time of booking to receive our student pricing.
- The name on your student ID and the name on your reservation must match.
- Not combinable with any other promotional offer.
